Hello OmniNavigation community,
I’m Shiko, the Founder of Aurora Studio. We’re currently working on a Japan Realism map project called Numazu, which is built using Aerial Tiles in the OMSI 2.3.004 Editor. However, we’ve run into a significant issue with bus stop positioning, and I’d appreciate any insights or solutions from the community.
The Issue
Our project relies on Aerial Tiles to create a realistic map of Numazu. In the editor, the default fictional map tiles are set to 300m x 300m, but when using Aerial Tiles, the map extends to 500m x 500m. This discrepancy causes bus stops to load in incorrect positions. For example, in the screenshot below, you can see a bus stop that’s misaligned due to this tile size mismatch:
Project Details
- Map: Numazu (Japan Realism map)
- Editor Version: OMSI 2.3.004
- Tile Setup: Aerial Tiles (500m x 500m) vs. default fictional tiles (300m x 300m)
- Locations Affected: Bus stops like BokusuiKinen Kan S, Sengorin S, Tokiwa Koikushomae S, ChuoPlantFront W, Numazu Port W, and Numazu Port E (as seen in the map overlay).
What We’ve Tried
We’ve double-checked the coordinates and alignments in the editor, but the extended tile size seems to be the root cause. The bus stop objects don’t scale or adjust properly to the larger Aerial Tiles, leading to the misalignment.
Request for Help
Has anyone else encountered this issue when working with Aerial Tiles in OMSI 2? Are there any workarounds to ensure bus stops load correctly with the larger 500m x 500m tiles? I’ve found a helpful resource on using Aerial Imagery in the editor here: Editor - Aerial Imagery, but it doesn’t specifically address this bus stop positioning problem.
Any advice, tools, or settings adjustments would be greatly appreciated! Let me know if you need more details about our setup.
Thanks in advance,
Shiko
